Over the past ten years this compassion project has escalated into a major charity program fueled by the collaboration between the corporate giants, small business owners, and community leaders. This event is a "one- night celebration" that makes a lasting difference in lives of children in-need. Annual Russian-Speaking Community Partners Capitol Reception
The Annual Russian-Speaking Community Capitol Reception is a milestone that shows that the relationship between the Slavic community and members of the legislature continues to progress. Each year we strive together to break away from old stereotypes that hinder Slavic Californians from active engagement in civic activities in their communities. The reception help to reassure our people that all politics does not translate to the way that California policymakers relate to our local Russian-speaking community. It took us years to break the stereotypes Slavic people had about their government. We want to preserve this fragile trust and encourage more civic engagement.
